Our Otaki Whanau
Learning tools to improve our teaching of Digital Technology within our classrooms. This is also a first in a long time that our Otaki schools have come to learn together. I'm positive friendships, networks will grow from this Professional Development on our 9 week journey together.
Waitohu, Otaki College, Otaki Primary, Whakatupuranga Ruamano, Te Rito.....E mihi ana 😊
Reflection:
Our guest presenter Dorothy Burt gave us an overview and the origins of Manaiakalani which was very informative. Manaiakalani is an organisation in Auckland, here is a link to Manaiakalani Website.

We learn't and used different Google tools but also how to implement them in our classroom. Voice type is something I particularly want to use for those that find it hard to get their ideas down on paper or who struggle with spelling. We learn't a lot today and the trick for me is to use these tools more consistently so I am familiar and know how to use them properly to get better outcomes for my children. This is an exiting experience and I look forward to the next 9 weeks of Professional Development with Digital Technology but also the relationships and networking that will be formed. This can only be positive for our children of Otaki. The Creating, Learning and Sharing is going to be awesome 🌝 Nga mihi nui
Kia ora Kahura,
ReplyDeleteGreat to see your blog starting to be personalised a bit, well done :) I'm looking forward to hearing how you got on with some of the new skills that we learned last week. Are there some tools you focused on using this week?
Ngā mihi nui
